A strategy can be analytically sound and still fail to move. Often, the missing element is not intelligence or ambition. It is connection.
People align when they understand the destination, recognize why it matters, and see where their own decisions contribute. That requires more than presenting priorities. It requires translating them into a story about the organization, the moment, and the role each person can play.
Alignment does not require perfect agreement. It requires enough shared understanding for people to make coherent choices when leaders are not in the room.
The real test of strategy is not whether people can repeat its language. It is whether they can use it to decide what to do next.
